Sign a PDF and keep the file, not a picture of it
PDFCheetah writes your signature onto the page on this device. A drawn signature is saved as lines rather than as a photograph of your writing, so it stays sharp when the page is zoomed or printed and adds almost nothing to the file's size. The document is not rebuilt: the text already on the page stays selectable, and form fields, bookmarks and page labels come through. A signature is placed against the page as you see it, so a page stored on its side is signed the way it reads.
What this is, and what it is not
This adds a visible signature — the same thing as signing a printed page and scanning it, without the printer. It does not prove who signed, does not show whether the document changed afterwards, and is not a certificate-backed digital signature. It is also ordinary page content, so anyone who can open the file can remove it. Send a signed document the way you would send a signed piece of paper.
Where your signature is kept
Nowhere. A signature belongs to the document you have open: it is gone when you clear that document or leave the page, and it is never uploaded or stored in this browser. Select Forget in the panel to drop one sooner.
Current limitations
Typed signatures are written in one bundled font family, which covers Latin and Devanagari scripts. Certificate-backed signing, signature fields inside the PDF, and requesting a signature from someone else are not included. Always verify signed, certified, tagged, form-heavy, or archival PDFs in the reader used by the recipient.

- Is my PDF uploaded to sign it?
- No. Your signature is written onto the page in your browser, and the file never leaves this device. Download the result, or use Share on a phone.
- Is this a legally binding digital signature?
- It is a visible signature — the same thing as signing a printed page and scanning it, without the printer. It does not prove who signed and does not show whether the document changed afterwards. If you need a certificate-backed signature, use a service that issues certificates.
- Can someone remove the signature I added?
- Yes. It is ordinary page content, so anyone who can open the file can take it off with the same kind of tool that added it. Send a signed document the way you would send a signed piece of paper.

- Can I put the same signature on every page?
- Yes. Place it once, then put the selected mark on every page — each copy appears on its page so you can move or remove any of them before you download.
