When you want Organize, and when you want a smaller tool
Organize PDF puts every page of your document on one canvas and lets you reorder, rotate, duplicate and remove them, and pull pages in from another PDF. That makes it the right answer when a document needs several of those at once, and the long way round when it needs exactly one of them. This page says which is which.
Which tool you need
Several different changes to one document, in one sitting
This is what Organize is for. Everything happens on one canvas, you can see the whole document while you work, and anything you change can be undone before you save.
Pages that are turned the wrong way, and nothing else
Rotate PDF. Select the pages or the whole document, turn them, download. Organize can rotate too, but a page built for one job asks you for less.
The whole document is back to front
Reverse PDF pages does it in one press. Organize carries a one-click reverse as well, for a document you already have open there.
Pages to take out, and nothing to move
Delete PDF pages. It has Select all, Clear and Select the rest for working through a long document, and it will not let you end up with an empty PDF.
A few pages to keep, out of many
Extract PDF pages gives you one new document holding just those, in their original order.
Whole files to join end to end
Merge PDF takes up to twenty at once. Organize imports pages from another PDF, which is the right shape for pulling a few pages in and the wrong one for combining a stack of documents.
The two things only Organize does
Duplicating a page, and inserting a blank one. No other tool here does either, so a form whose signature sheet is needed twice, or a booklet that needs an empty left-hand page before a chapter starts, is an Organize job whatever else it needs.
It is also the only place you can see the finished order of a rebuilt document while you build it. When pages are coming out, going in from another file, and moving around in the same job, working blind through three single-purpose tools is how a page ends up in the wrong place.
What to check before you send the result
Pages are copied rather than redrawn, so text stays selectable, vector artwork stays sharp, and mixed page sizes are kept as they are. The finished file is opened again on this device and a sample of its pages read in full before the download appears.
Beyond the pages themselves, check the result in the reader your recipient uses if the document is form-heavy, annotated, tagged, layered, signed, certified or archival. That is the honest limit of what any browser-side rebuild can promise, and it applies to every tool here that writes a new document.
What to know before you start
- A password-protected PDF can be opened and looked through here once you enter its password, but a new copy of one cannot be saved. Remove the password with Unlock PDF first, on this device, then organize the unlocked copy.
- Blank pages are not found for you here. Remove blank pages checks every page on your device and marks the empty ones, which is the job Organize's canvas leaves you to do by eye.
- Your original file is never modified. Organize builds a new PDF from the order you can see, and what you opened stays exactly as it was.
