CSV to PDF, as a table that fits the page
PDFCheetah's free CSV to PDF tool sets a CSV file as a PDF table in your browser — columns fitted to the page, the header on every page — and your file never leaves your device.

How to turn a CSV file into a PDF
- Choose a .csv or .tsv file — an export from a spreadsheet, a bank or a database.
- Check the separator and whether the first row is a header, then choose the page. Wide tables usually read better in landscape.
- Select Create PDF, then Download.
How the table is set
The separator — comma, semicolon, tab or pipe — is detected for you. Columns are as wide as their contents allow, long cells wrap inside their column, columns of figures are right-aligned, and the header row is repeated at the top of every page. Quoted fields with commas or line breaks inside them are read correctly. Nothing is uploaded.
Current limitations
A table with many columns is narrowed to fit the page, which can make it hard to read: choose landscape, a narrow margin or a smaller text size. The Fonts setting chooses which scripts are drawn; characters outside the chosen level are drawn as a replacement mark.
Common questions
- Is my CSV file uploaded to make the PDF?
- No. The file is read and set as a table in your browser, and the PDF is written on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Which separators can it read?
- Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe. The separator is detected for you, and you can choose another. Quoted values with separators or line breaks inside them are read correctly.
- Is the header row repeated on every page?
- Yes, when the first row is the header and it is short enough: it is set in bold at the top of each page. Turn the header off if your file has none.
- What happens to a table with many columns?
- It is narrowed to fit the page, which can make it hard to read. Choose landscape, a narrow margin or a smaller text size. Long values wrap inside their column, and columns of figures are right-aligned.
- Which languages can it set?
- The scripts the Fonts setting covers. Light covers English, the Western European languages and Hindi with nothing to download; Medium, the default, adds the rest of Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai and the main Indian scripts; Heavy adds Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Anything else is drawn as a replacement mark, and the page counts those before you create the PDF.
