MOBI to PDF, as a clean reading copy

Why there is no daily limit, and no upload
How to turn a MOBI book into a PDF
- Choose a .mobi, .azw3 or .prc file without copy protection.
- Choose the text size, page size and margins. The preview is the PDF itself, redrawn after every change.
- Select Create PDF, then Download.
What is kept
The book’s text in reading order, with its headings, paragraphs, emphasis, lists and pictures, and a new page wherever the book starts one. Nothing is uploaded.
Current limitations
Books bought from the Kindle store are protected by DRM and cannot be opened — this is a tool for books you made or downloaded unprotected. The book’s own fonts and layout are not used. The Fonts setting decides which scripts are drawn; characters beyond the chosen level are drawn as a replacement mark, and the result says how many.
Common questions
- Is my book uploaded to make the PDF?
- No. The book is read and set as pages in your browser, and the PDF is written on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Which Kindle files can it read?
- MOBI, AZW, AZW3 and PRC files without copy protection. MOBI is read in full; AZW3 is read as a best effort, so its text comes out in order but some of its formatting may be simplified.
- Can it convert a book I bought from the Kindle store?
- No. Kindle store books are protected by DRM, which cannot be opened here, and the page says so rather than making a broken PDF. It is a tool for books you made or downloaded unprotected.
- Are the pictures included?
- Yes. The book's pictures are drawn where they appear, and the page says how many could not be drawn, if any.
- Which languages can it set?
- The scripts the Fonts setting covers. Light covers English, the Western European languages and Hindi with nothing to download; Medium, the default, adds the rest of Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai and the main Indian scripts; Heavy adds Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Characters beyond that level are drawn as a replacement mark, and the result says how many there were.
