EML to PDF, an email saved as pages
PDFCheetah's free EML to PDF tool sets a saved email's headers, message and pictures as PDF pages in your browser — nothing it links to is fetched — and your file never leaves your device.

Why there is no daily limit, and no upload
How to turn an email into a PDF
- Save the email as an .eml file — most mail apps call this Download, Save As or Export — and choose it here.
- Choose the text size, page size and margins. The preview is the PDF itself, redrawn after every change.
- Select Create PDF, then Download.
What is kept
The subject, who it is from and to, who was copied and the date at the top; then the message itself, from its formatted version when it has one — headings, emphasis, lists, links and the pictures sent inside it — or its plain text. Attachments are listed by name and size at the end, and attached pictures are drawn there too. Nothing is uploaded.
Current limitations
Pictures the message loads from the web are never fetched — that is how a sender learns a message was opened — so they are left out, and the page says how many. The message’s own fonts, colors and column layout are not used. Attachments are listed, not converted: open them on their own. Outlook .msg files cannot be read; save the message as .eml first. The Fonts setting decides which scripts are drawn; characters beyond the chosen level are drawn as a replacement mark, and the result says how many.
Common questions
- Is my email uploaded to make the PDF?
- No. The message is read and the PDF is written in your browser, on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing the message links to is fetched.
- How do I get an .eml file?
- Most mail apps save one: Apple Mail and Thunderbird with Save As, Gmail with Download message, and Outlook on the web with Download. Outlook's own .msg files cannot be read here, so save the message as .eml first.
- Are the pictures in the email included?
- Pictures sent inside the message are drawn where they appear. Pictures the message loads from the web are not fetched, because loading them tells the sender the message was opened; the page says how many were left out.
- What happens to attachments?
- They are listed by name and size at the end of the PDF, and attached pictures are drawn there too. Other attachments are not converted: open them on their own.
