Why there is no daily limit, and no upload
How to turn screenshots into a PDF
- Choose the screenshots, one or many, from a phone or a computer. Each one becomes a page.
- Drag them into the order you want, or move them with the arrows, and remove any you do not need.
- Leave the page as it opens — the screenshot’s own shape — or choose A4 or US Letter if the PDF is going to be printed.
- Select Create PDF, then Download to save it.
Why the text in a screenshot stays crisp
A screenshot is mostly text and sharp edges, which blur the moment a picture is compressed the way photos are. A PNG screenshot is stored in the PDF without losing a pixel, a JPG one goes in exactly as it was saved, and a WebP one is opened on this device and stored without loss. Each page starts the same shape as its screenshot with no border, so a tall phone capture is one tall page rather than a picture shrunk onto A4, and a reader can zoom into it as far as the screenshot allows.
Current limitations
The words in a screenshot are part of the picture, so they cannot be searched or copied out of the PDF. A long scrolling capture stays one long page; it is not split across several. A HEIC screenshot needs Image to PDF, in a browser that reads HEIC, such as one on the iPhone itself. Larger batches than this device can place safely are refused when you choose them.
Common questions
- Are my screenshots uploaded to make the PDF?
- No. Your screenshots are written into the PDF in your browser, on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Will the text in my screenshots stay sharp?
- Yes. A PNG screenshot is stored without losing a pixel, a JPG one goes in exactly as it was saved, and each page starts the same shape as its screenshot, so nothing is shrunk onto a page that does not fit it.
- Can I search the text in the PDF?
- No. The words in a screenshot are part of the picture, so the PDF holds pictures of the text rather than text you can search or copy.
- What happens to a long scrolling screenshot?
- It becomes one long page, the same shape as the screenshot. It is not split across several pages.
